SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS
COMMUNITY WILDFIRE PROTECTION PLAN (CWPP)

A Community Wildfire Protection Plan* (CWPP) is currently being developed by ForEverGreen Forestry for approximately 130,000 acres in California's Santa Monica Mountains.
A series of twenty public community meetings were held between October 2009 and January 2010 to identify community issues and priorities for wildfire prevention and protection.
We are currently drafting the CWPP chapters, which will be available for public review in April 2010, with a final CWPP expected by mid summer.
For Santa Monica Mountains residents, organizations, and agencies interested in participating in this process further, we have a Community Review Committee (CRC). The CRC will provide virtual review of early drafts of documents between January and late March. If you are interested in joining the CRC and did not attend a community meeting, please send an email to SantaMonicaMountainsCWPP@gmail.com with your: name, address in the Santa Monicas, email address, organizational affiliation (if you have one), and why you want to join the CRC and what you can contribute to the process.
